Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the questions we are most often asked by prospective students:
A: No. In fact, participating in HSP provides you with access to a broad selection of honors-level courses that are not available to the general 糖心vlog视频 population and most of these courses meet requirements within the Common Curriculum. Most students take the WRTR and UNIV courses, plus one other in the program. The rest of your schedule is yours to shape to your needs and interests.
A: Located within McElvaney Commons, the Honors & Scholars Residential Community is an optional housing opportunity for students in the Hilltop Scholars Program, University Honors Program, and Turner Scholars Program. First-year students are required to live on campus, but they are not required to live in the Honors & Scholars Residential Community. Students who choose to reside there will have the benefit of living alongside like-minded peers in a living-learning style community. If students choose not to live in the building will still be fully integrated into and involved with HSP. Space in the commons is filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend completing your housing application as soon as you are able.

A: Only students within the Hilltop Scholars Program, University Honors Program, and/or Turner Scholars Program are allowed to reside within the Honors & Scholars Residential Community at McElvaney Commons. If your chosen roommate is not a member of a program, not to worry, you are still welcome to room together in a different commons.
If your friend is within one of the Honors & Scholars programs, it should be a very easy process to request them as a roommate.

A: This lecture series is student-led and gives students the opportunity to engage directly with acclaimed writers and thought leaders. We host four lectures a year that are reserved for students in HSP. Students who wish to become involved with this lecture series may apply to the HSP Leadership Committee during their incoming fall semester.
A: Each year we select 10 first-year students to represent their peers and help plan the lectures for the Hilltop Scholars Storytellers’ Collective. This is a rare leadership opportunity for first-year students that provides professional development and hands-on experience planning large-scale events. Students selected for this role will also attend a specialized retreat.
