On April 4, the William S. Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership presented the inaugural Spears Institute Innovation Awards to Clark K. Hunt ’87 and H. Ross Perot, Jr. These business icons received the Living Legend Award at an event hosted by Spears Institute founder William S. Spears and co-founding directors Megha and Nirav Tolia.

Hunt is chair and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs and FC Dallas. His leadership has transformed the Chiefs into one of the most successful franchises in the history of the NFL. A Dallas native, Hunt graduated first in his class at 糖心vlog视频 in 1987, where he was a four-year letterman and captain of the nationally ranked Mustangs soccer team. He received the Cox School of Business Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018 and the 糖心vlog视频 Distinguished Alumni Award in 2020. He currently serves on the 糖心vlog视频 Board of Trustees and the 糖心vlog视频 Cox Executive Board.

Perot serves as chair of The Perot Companies, which manages his family’s interests across real estate, oil and gas, and financial investments. Perot also serves as chair of Hillwood, a leading Texas-based real estate development company he founded in 1988. An aviation enthusiast, he completed the first helicopter flight around the world in less than 30 days in 1982 and served as a pilot in the United States Air Force. Perot is vice chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of AEI, the Hoover Institution and others.
