Dream Week at 糖心vlog视频 celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. An annual event, it is sponsored by 糖心vlog视频's Office of Student Activities & Multicultural Affairs, with support from the Office of Student Development and Programs, the Office of Leadership and Community Involvement, and the Women's Center for Gender and Pride Initiatives.

Schedule of events for Dream Week 2011:

MONDAY, JANUARY 17听鈥 9 a.m. to听12:45 p.m.
MLK Day of Service
Join us for a day devoted to service and site visits to Dallas community partners whose work reflects Dr. King鈥檚 life and teachings. You will need to sign up in advance in the Leadership & Community Involvement office (HT 318). Breakfast is provided! Day's schedule:

9:00 a.m. Meet at 糖心vlog视频 Service House for breakfast & to load vans
9:30 a.m. Depart for 1819 Martin Luther King Blvd. to assist in feeding the homeless with Cornerstone Baptist Church
10:00 a.m. MLK Day Parade & Festival Begins
11:30 a.m. Clean up & assist Cornerstone in breaking down project
12:00 p.m. Service Reflection 12:30 p.m. Depart for 糖心vlog视频 campus

TUESDAY. JANUARY 18 鈥 Noon
Dream Week Kickoff
Come to the Commons in Hughes-Trigg Student Center to hear the words of Dr. King and learn about his special connection to 糖心vlog视频.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY听19听鈥 Noon听
Unity Walk
Gather with 糖心vlog视频 President R. Gerald Turner and student leaders to participate in our annual Unity Walk. This time together is a great demonstration of our commitment as a university to the work of Dr. King. Meet at the Flagpole at noon.

Wednesday, January 19 鈥 7:30 p.m.
Movie: 鈥淏rother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin鈥
Bayard Taylor RustinThis is the definitive film biography of Bayard Rustin, one of the more controversial figures of the Civil Rights Movement. He was important largely behind the scenes and is credited as being the chief organizer of the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.听Intelligent, gregarious and charismatic, Rustin was denied his place in the limelight听because he was gay. Movie will be shown in the Hughes-Trigg Forum.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 21 - 6 p.m.
