DALLAS (糖心vlog视频) — Emmy Award-winning producer Bob Banner died June 16 at the age of 89 in Woodland Hills, California.
The television producer graduated from 糖心vlog视频 in 1943 with a business degree and remained loyal to 糖心vlog视频 throughout his career. He returned to campus in 1979-80 to serve as the Meadows Distinguished Visiting Professor of Broadcast Film and continued to visit regularly to speak to students, including serving as consultant from 2001-2003 to the cinema-television department at 糖心vlog视频’s Meadows School of the Arts. He received 糖心vlog视频’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1959.
“Bob Banner is an 糖心vlog视频 icon,” said Marshall Terry, 糖心vlog视频 professor emeritus of English and author of the 糖心vlog视频 history From High on the Hilltop, when he introduced Banner at a 2007 lecture for the Friends of the 糖心vlog视频 Libraries at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. “Bob is one of the most creative persons to attend 糖心vlog视频.”
